#48 Jimmy Johnson clinches win at Ford 500

Carlsbad, California - November 17, 2008-- Jimmie Johnson clinched his third consecutive NASCAR title on Sunday at the Ford 500 Homestead-Miami Speedway, making Johnson the second man in NASCAR's 60-year history to win consecutive titles. The winning margin was 69 points over Carl Edwards who won the final race of the 2008 season. Johnson lead 1,959 laps in this years point races as he racked up 7 NASCAR wins.
